Spits Acquire Sarris & Primeau In Pair of Trades

The Windsor Spitfires have announced they’ve acquired Brett Primeau from the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for future considerations and defender Ryan Sarris from the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for a late round draft pick.

Spitfires Acquire Chatham

On Sunday, the Windsor Spitfires announced their acquisition of overage winger Connor Chatham from the Flint Firebirds. In exchange the Spitfires sent underachieving forward Luke Kirwan to Flint.

Frontenacs Land Murray from Spitfires

The Kingston Frontenacs have been awfully busy on the trade front both in talks and actually completing trades. Most recently, the club announced they’ve acquired 1997 born defender Liam Murray from the Windsor Spitfires. In exchange, the Spitfires add a 3rd round pick in the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. 

Spitfires Acquire Lemieux from Colts

The Windsor Spitfires have acquired Winnipeg Jets prospect Brendan Lemieux from the Barrie Colts. In exchange, the Colts receive centerman Anthony Stefano along with two draft picks that can be used to acquire more pieces come OHL trade deadline or to take to the bank at future OHL Priority Selections.

Johnston Acquired by Firebirds

Flin Firebirds GM Terry Christenson announced Wednesday evening that the Firebirds have acquired goaltender Brendan Johnston from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for a draft pick. 

Battalion Acquire Daniil Vertiy from Spitfires

The North Bay Battalion have announced the acquisition of 1998 born native of Russia, Daniil Vertiy. In exchange, the Spitfires receive a pair of draft choices.

Storm Acquire Giugovaz

The Guelph Storm have announced the acquisition of overage netminder Michael Giugovaz from the Windsor Spitfires. Giugovaz was placed on OHL waivers by the Spitfires yesterday as a result of a crowded crease and an overage rule. 

Spitfires Acquire Hughson

The Windsor Spitfires have acquired overage goaltender Garret Hughson from the Spokane Chiefs of the WHL.

Spitfires Acquire Nother from London

The Windsor Spitfires have acquired 1998 born defender Tyler Nother from the London Knights in exchange for two draft picks. As close as the Western Conference in the OHL is, the Knights and Spitfires have a rivalry which one could argue is unmatched in the entire OHL, and the two teams rarely ever help each other out by engaging in a trade. It’s happened two times in the past couple weeks, first with Michael Giugovaz and now with Tyler Nother.

Giugovaz to Windsor

A week or so after @OHLInsiders reported that the London Knights were getting offers from both the Windsor Spitfires and Mississauga Steelheads for overage goaltender Michael Giugovaz, the Knights finalized a trade to send Giugovaz to the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for a conditional 7th round draft choice in 2017.
