The Windsor Spitfires have announced they’ve acquired Brett Primeau from the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for future considerations and defender Ryan Sarris from the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for a late round draft pick.To Windsor:

Sarris, 18, has spent the year with the OJHL’s Whitby Fury and the GOJHL’s LaSalle Vipers. The Vipers are affiliated with the Windsor Spitfires. Sarris, a native of Brooklin, Ontario which is near Whitby, Ontario was a 3rd round selection of the IceDogs in the 2013 OHL Priority Selection. He has appeared in 2 OHL games, both with the IceDogs back in the 2013-2014 season.

In Brett Primeau, the Spitfires get an 18 year old winger from Belle River, ON. He’s spent time in the CCHL, OJHL, OHL and the GOJHL. Since being selected in the 8th round of the 2013 OHL Priority Selection by the Frontenacs, Primeau has dressed in 3 OHL games but has yet to register a point.

Both Primeau and Sarris have two years of OHL eligibility following the conclusion of the 2015-2016 season.
