The Sarnia Sting are expected to announce the signing of right handed centreman, Luke Kunin from the NCAA’s University of Wisconsin Badgers, multiple sources have confirmed. When it’s all said and done, Kunin will become the third player to jump ship to the Ontario Hockey League from NCAA colleges following the likes of Hurricanes prospect Warren Foegele who left the University of New Hampshire to join the Kingston Frontenacs as well as Jeremy Bracco who left Boston University for the Kitchener Rangers.

Kunin, a 5’8 190lb native of Chesterfield Missouri, is a talent who most have ranked in the top 30 heading into the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, has dressed in eight games for the Badgers this season having registered 6 points in 8 games consisting of 2 goals and 4 assists.

Kunin is property of the Sarnia Sting by way of the 2013 OHL Priority Selection where Luke was selected in the 12th round, 229th overall.

The Sarnia Sting as well as Luke Kunin have been approached for comments, but to no avail.
